Welcome to the C-A-M Helmet Collection

What is this site?

This site is dedicated solely to the helmets of the Canadian American Militaria Collection. Presented are original examples of steel and composite helmets produced from 1914 - 2000. Each helmet is presented with detailed photographs and a description covering certain features and its usage. The purpose of the site is to help in preserving the history of these helmets and to serve as a free reference to collectors.

About The Collection

The Canadian American Militaria (C-A-M for short) helmet collection is something that began when a 13-year-old purchased a basic Czechoslovakian Vz53 helmet. This single purchase ignited a passion for the study and collecting of global helmets that has lead to the accumulation of well over 50 lids and counting. Many of these helmets are hard to find or underappreciated and therefore photos of real examples or information on them is scarce. This site seeks to provide good photos and some insight into each helmet in the collection. This is far from a new concept and the site owes much to ,http://brendonshelmets.weebly.com/, a website which has served the community as a excellent reference for years. It is my hope that my website may help many aspiring collectors in their own search for helmets as the previously listed website did in my own. The site will be continual updated as I acquire new helmets.

Disclaimers

The collection features helmets from all over the world and from various historical periods. This includes the helmets of evil regimes, many of which were destroyed by heroes such as my Great Grandfather. That being said, this site in no way supports or condones anything to do with the countries the helmets were from or the regimes they represent. In some cases, the blurring of certain symbols has taken place to reinforce this stance. The website is solely for educating the public of helmet variants and does not endorse any political parties or ideologies. All the helmets posted on this site belong to the collection and reuse of these photos is not permitted. Any information taken from a source will be cited at the bottom of the corresponding page. Any liability that may arise from your use of this site is not our responsibility. This site is not for profit and purely for educating the public on helmet types as previously stated.
